About HOSEU

In the heart of Mexico City, amid its constant rhythm of movement, noise, and color, lies a quieter vision of fashion—one that chooses subtlety over spectacle, permanence over ephemerality. HOSEU, founded in November 2023 by designer Alexia Guzmán González, is not simply a clothing brand. It is an evolving language, a reflection of life’s contradictions, and an ode to the power of simplicity with character.

The name itself, HOSEU—“hueso,” or bone—speaks to its essence. Bones are structure, foundation, permanence. They exist beneath the surface, unseen yet essential. Likewise, HOSEU pieces are not designed to shout but to endure. Their beauty is found in their quiet strength, in the way they anchor a wardrobe and give form to the everyday.

At first glance, the brand’s neutral palette feels restrained, but in this restraint lies freedom. Shades of stone, sand, ivory, and black create space for individuality, allowing each wearer to write their own story into the clothes. The designs, while pared back, are never plain: a subtle seam, an unexpected tie, an asymmetry revealed only upon closer inspection. Each detail is intentional, carrying the quiet mark of distinction.

A Global Footprint
Though still young, HOSEU has quickly expanded its presence beyond Mexico. Its pieces can be found in concept stores and cultural spaces that reflect the brand’s ethos: Aurelia Concept Store, Cardón, and Marsella 68 in Mexico City; Panorama Mundi in Paris; Blended Concept Store in Barcelona.

Temporary pop-ups have brought HOSEU to Oaxaca, London, Los Cabos, Madrid, and Mérida—proof that the brand moves fluidly across geographies, adapting to each context while staying true to its core. These collaborations with spaces that blend art, design, and community affirm that HOSEU belongs not only in fashion but in a broader cultural conversation.

The Designer
Alexia Guzmán González’s journey is as layered as her work. Born in Mazatlán and raised in Los Cabos, she grew up with the horizon always nearby—the line where ocean meets desert, light meets shadow. These landscapes imprinted in her a fascination with dualities, with the tension and harmony between opposites.

Her education took her across continents: Fashion Marketing in Barcelona and San Diego, then Fashion Design at Parsons School of Design in New York. This diverse background taught her to see fashion not just as garments, but as systems—cultural, aesthetic, and commercial. With HOSEU, she returned to Mexico City to create something both deeply personal and universally resonant.

Design as Reflection
Alexia’s inspiration comes from the everyday, from the small moments that shape identity. She often speaks of dualities: city and beach, light and shadow, individuality and union, body and soul, structure and flow, intellect and feeling. These are not oppositions to be resolved but balances to be lived. In her work, they become garments that are fluid yet precise, minimal yet full of character.

Inside each piece lies an obsession with detail. The stitching, the lining, the finish—each element is considered, designed to hold its form and remain impeccable over time. This devotion to craftsmanship ensures that the clothes are not fleeting purchases but lasting companions. The HOSEU wardrobe is intentionally reduced, but within its simplicity lies infinite possibility: pieces that can be layered, combined, and reimagined endlessly.

A Brand That Moves
What distinguishes HOSEU is not just its aesthetic but its philosophy. It is a brand that refuses to remain static.

This perspective turns HOSEU into something living, something that breathes with its creator. Each collection is not just a product of trend forecasts or seasonal demands, but a record of a moment in Alexia’s life, translated into fabric and form.

Looking Ahead
As HOSEU continues to expand its presence internationally, its essence remains grounded: timeless, versatile, quietly distinctive. It is a brand built not on the pursuit of more, but on the pursuit of meaning.

In a world saturated with noise, HOSEU offers a different rhythm—slower, more deliberate, more connected. Its garments are not just clothes but tools of identity, companions for a life lived in balance between dualities. And as Alexia continues to grow and change, HOSEU will evolve with her, carrying forward the spirit of transformation that lies at its core.
